Leadership

Jack Bowen
Jack is excited to see the Word of God impact others. “The Bible is the ‘it’ that is the guidepost for all of life. I have seen the simple truths of Scripture impact my own life and desire to pass that on to my friends.” He earned the ThM degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Interdisciplinary Studies (Old Testament and Christian Education). He served in the U.S. military and currently works as a pilot for a major U.S. airline. His undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Aeronautics, Flight Operations, San Jose State University. Through a fortunate friendship with Warren Pledger (see right), he is also involved with C.C.C.P. Ministries, a group that is concerned with children, churches, communities, and pastors in countries of the former Soviet Union. Also occasionally serves with Zenon Ministries in outreach to youth and athletes. Member of Temple Crest Baptist Church; Tampa, FL.

Don Hassee
Don Hassee has been pastor of Temple Crest Baptist Church since 2008. He has a BS in marketing with a minor in Speech and Psychology  from the University of Indiana at Bloomington. He has a BS in education from Southern Indiana University. Don also has a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida as well as an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has enjoyed short-term missionary outreach in Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, South Africa, Germany, and Greece. I Jack can say from a personal friendship with Don since 1995 that he is a gifted evangelist. His prior professional background with Dale Carnegie training gives him a unique ability to work with and motivate people. He has a big heart for the disadvantaged people in his church community and spares no effort to see that they are fed from both hey food outreach ministry and from the Word of God. He has completed 10 marathons  and thoroughly enjoys the game of golf. He’s one of four brothers and has been married to Crystal since September 2014. Since then he has become a dedicated dog lover! Just ask Jessie the hound!😃

Zenon Andrushshyn
Zenon Andrusyshyn is the leader of Zenon Ministries.org–a Tampa-based parachurch Christian organization. “Zee” and his wife Sue take on many different roles within this ministry. Probably the thing that takes their biggest investment of time is the Legacy ministries that are mentored by Zee and Sue but which are led the youth in various Tampa schools. In these, Zee encourages them to begin their own “Legacy Clubs” on Campus. His desire is to equip the next generation of leaders though training in evangelism, discipleship, outreach, and missions. I–Jack–interned under Z and can tell you that he is always moving in many directions and is constantly working for the Lord non-stop. She is his helper in this through prayer, counsel, and administrative oversight. Zee’s many connections in the Tampa area through his career as a professional athlete allow him opportunities that most of us don’t have for spreading the Christian message. As a teenager, Zee was a national record setter for Canada in the javelin throw. As a result, he earned a track scholarship to UCLA. After injuring his arm as a sophomore, he walked on to the football team and won the job as the starting punter and place kicker for UCLA, graduating in 1970. Zenon was next drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and had a lengthy professional football career in the NFL, the CFL, and the USFL. He also is the team chaplain for the Tampa Bay Storm Arena Football League team. Additionally, he conducts numerous high school football chapels and Bible studies. His Christian training comes from a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He recently supplemented that training by completing a 25-week course in biblical Greek, the equivalent of two semesters worth of work. I can attest that both he and Sue were amongst the hardest workers in the class. They are also highly involved in teaching numerous adult Bible studies in the Tampa area. He and Sue have two grown children and three precious grandchildren. We welcome Zee as a teacher for FridayNiteBibleStudy and look forward to hearing his insights and his exposition of the Scriptures.

Warren G. Pledger
Warren is an avid and well-prepared Bible teacher. He is thoroughly convinced that the Bible is the only hope for humanity and is fully confident that the Bible is the “enlightening truth of divine origin.” He notes that “while these truths are simple in format, they are inexhaustible in depth.” Further, he adds, “When I teach people the Word of God, I feel as if I am exposing them to the treasure houses of the universe.” (We say, Amen!). Warren is also the founder and current president of C.C.C.P. Ministries. As such, he is active in multiple journeys a year to countries of the former Soviet Union. He works as a construction inspector for a national defense contractor where he oversees construction and maintenance of large infrastructure. Warren holds a B.S. in mathematics from University of Tennessee, a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Master of Biblical Studies (MABS) from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is nearing completion of an M.S. in Construction Management from University of Washington. He is married to Yulia and has three growing and active children. Member and Bible fellowship class teacher at Idlewild Baptist Church; Lutz, FL.
